How to Use Tooth Powder

Wondering how to use tooth powder? Well it’s a pretty easy task with multiple options, with each choice being based mainly on a matter of personal preference. In this post I will discuss FOUR different ways to get your tooth powder onto your toothbrush!

#1: The Straight Dip

The easiest and neatest way is to just simply dip a lightly moistened toothbrush directly into the powder (be sure to remove as much excess water from your toothbrush before dipping it into the powder to ensure that no water droplets fall into the package). I personally use this option since I am the only user of my tooth powder, but you may want to consider one of the other options if you plan on sharing yours.

#2: The Pour & Dip

For option two, pour a small amount of tooth powder directly into your hand and dip a lightly moistened tooth brush into the powder. This option might be a little messy but if you are concerned about potentially transferring germs into your tooth powder or if you share your tooth powder this may be the best option for you.

#3: The Scoop & Dip

The third option be to use a utensil such as a small scoop or spoon to scoop out the desired amount of tooth powder and repeat the second part of option two. This, like option two is great for those who share a tooth powder, and it eliminates the mess that come with pouring the tooth powder directly into your hand. The downside to the option is the dilemma of deciding what to do with any leftover tooth powder remaining on the scoop or spoon (to put back or not to put back? That is the question!) since putting back the remaining tooth powder makes it a lot like using option one, and not putting back any leftover powder might cause you to waste a lot of tooth powder over time.

#4: The Straight Pour

Last but not least, the final option is to just pour the tooth powder directly onto your tooth brush. This option may be a little tricky (and messy) and it will require that you work over a sink but it will allow you to easily share your tooth powder and it eliminates the dilemma of option three. The downside, like option three,  is that you may waste a lot of tooth powder over time since a lot of the powder may end up in the sink while you're attempting to pour it onto your toothbrush.
